Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness (trash & debris removal)
Industrial Cleaners will be responsible for maintaining the Yard's or work space cleanliness (trash & debris removal), cleaning of tanks, confined space cleaning, pressure washing components, and landside spill response. Qualified candidates must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. This position requires working outside in all types of weather, also extensive walking, and having the ability to maneuver steps, ladders and climb.
Performs following tasks in shipyards. loads vehicles, using handtruck or dolly. washes trucks other vehicles. cleans ships, piers, drydocks, and other working areas, using broom water hose. opens shipping crates, using hammer pinchbar. sorts lumber, metals, and other scrap materials. mixes and pours cement on inner bottoms of ships around joints on decks to prepare surfaces for tile or to make joints watertight. removes paint scale from ships metal surfaces, using hand or powered wire brushes. conveys materials tools
